BUSKR is a Seattle-based artist. Inspired by the sounds of Nirvana, Ed Sheeran, Alice in Chains, Lord Huron, and Foo Fighters, his aim is to bring a new take to singer-songwriter music with a dash of classic grunge. His music serves as a reminder to feel things and let pain have its time - but also allow yourself to move on. Life is short, and we aren’t guaranteed any part of it (as we have all learned over the last two years). We need to allow ourselves the ability to feel pain and hurt without shame. To BUSKR, that’s what his art is all about.

In his most ambitious collaboration yet, Seattle producer Haywire made a beat that sounds straight out of Havana. The song “Grande” features Rapper Alex Olobia (stage name ‘Lobes’) coming through with his signature hard-hitting emotional bars while singer Martha Robles (stage name ‘Gitana’) laid down her hooking vocals to drive home the Latin-infused sound. The trio has played shows together around the Puget Sound area and this is their sophomore single debut about empowerment, ownership, and a powerfully-independent mindset.

Alex Olobia (stagename ‘Lobes’) is a PNW rapper and songwriter best known for his adventurous music style that can not be defined within a specific genre. His mention of taboo topics like insecurity, mental health, and healing are what sets him apart from an otherwise over- aturated market. Whether he is singing, rapping, or performing spoken word - he always speaks from the heart. Born in Spokane and raised in Renton, his music resonates with late-night drives and fully expressed emotions.

Haywire’s latest single “It Ain’t Right” is an eclectic mix of nu-disco and EDM. Drawing inspiration from 80s synthwave and modern pop, he used his favorite sampling platform Splice in collaboration with Lobes to create a “future-pop hip-hop” track. Warm, lush chords drive plucked melodies as professional vocalists sponsored by Audentity take the stage. Haywire’s guitar rocks throughout the song and Lobes features signature flows at the bridge, providing melodic candor that supports the rest of this future bass anthem.
